| Faith was born on September 21, 1967 in Jackson, Mississippi. She was given the name Audrey Faith by her adoptive parents, Ted and Edna Perry, who raised her from when she was a baby. Growing up in the tiny town of Star, Mississippi, Faith discovered music at a young age. During high school, Faith excelled in cheerleading, drama and sports, but singing remained her first love. Faith Hill hit the music scene in 1994, with her debut album "Take Me As I Am" and it's number one single, "Wild One." Her second album, "It Matters To Me", was another hit and Hill garnered awards and respect from the country music industry. The singers' self-titled album, 'Faith, ' sold four million copies worldwide. The album featured 'This Kiss' and 'Let Me Go, ' for which Faith received a Grammy nomination of Best Female Country Vocal.
